A champagne socialist reflects on Western culture and the Universe... and whilst gazing at his navel, he comes up with a lot of useless lint. It is the fruits of this navel-gazing that form the substance of this blog.

And as the left has already stated, and Andrew re-iterated here,

You know I was being sarcastic, of course.

I personally think Sudan needs another Anglo-Egyptian invasion.

Unfortunately helping the victims of Arab nationalism is not currently "in" in Europe (or America). And fighting a war to save hundreds of thousands of Christians is certainly not a "good thing" according to the new left because soldiers would die, possibly hundreds.

I'll write an article about what I think should be done, if the new left would give up their anti-semitism and fear of killing terrorists, and their belief that many deaths are better than few, later today, if I remember.

(What happened to the left's collectivism when the world needs it?)

Um, LW, I'm religious and have never declared myself a believer in Darwin (particularly Social Darwinism, which makes even less sense) because that would be dishonest of me.

Don't worry Leauki, I picked up on your sarcasm and thought it funny. Since when did I not care about victims of Arab nationalism? I can't recall a time. Or are you saying that because I have some scepticism about the way the War in Iraq has been carried out that I obviously don't?

I'm not forcing anyone else to fast and I personally am not the sort to take any sort of token "I'm doing some good" pride out of fasting. I would however love to hear what other practical alternatives the JU Right has. Bush has a few ideas, but he's being a bit soft on it.
