A champagne socialist reflects on Western culture and the Universe... and whilst gazing at his navel, he comes up with a lot of useless lint. It is the fruits of this navel-gazing that form the substance of this blog.

What about that loony Deputy PM, John Anderson. He and George Brandis (Liberal Senator) are off the planet. According to Ando, the secularisation of society (meaning accepting all beliefs, not just the Christians) will lead, of necessity to fascism.
Meanwhile, also according to Ando, the Greens are a bunch of communists. It’s terribly confusing for my atheist Green friend. He can’t work out if he’s Left or Right.
And to make matters worse for him, George Brandis says the Greens movement grew out of Nazism. So atheist Greens are Nazi Commy Fascists. Gotta love the Coalition. They’re just so darned down to Earth and realistic.

The Coalition and Family Worst seem to believe that if the Greens win just one seat, there’ll be bedlam: poofs running about getting married in pink frocks everywhere; Needles hanging out the arms of every Australian child;. Terrorists running freely through the streets.

And according to John Howard, if the ALP wins Government, Australia will become a third world country, Saddam Hussein will escape prison and invade Australia, and all schools and hospitals will close down because we can’t afford them.

Give me a break John Howard!

'And according to John Howard, if the ALP wins Government, Australia will become a third world country, Saddam Hussein will escape prison and invade Australia, and all schools and hospitals will close down because we can’t afford them.'

I'm predicting significant 'progress' on 2 out of 3 of John Howard's predictions, despite (well, actually because of) John Howard's coalition having been returned for a 4th term. Prepare to watch the continuing stratification of the health and education systems, resulting in the country's citizens becoming increasingly polarised - an educated and healthy minority vs. the 'insignificant' rest of the population. That smells pretty third world to me.

As for Hussein's plan to 'escape prison and invade Australia', well if he's going to do it, he's better jump to it while there's still something worth invading.
